Eunice O. Brashers Burge, age 100 of Cave City died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born August 13, 1909 at Cave City, Arkansas to James Elexander and Martha Ophelia Matlock Brashers.She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, needlework, cooking and gardening. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City since 1926.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Truman E. Burge, her father and mother-in-law, Will and Annie Burge, an infant daughter, Martha Ann Burge, two brothers Staton Brashers and J. B. Brashers and four sisters, Opal Brashers, Johnnie Lawson, Loveda Brashers and Willie Ring.Survivors include two daughters, Delois Burge of Cave City and Ramona Stoneham of Batesville, a sister, Fannie Brashers of Union, Missouri, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Friday, January 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Justin Burge and Bro. Ron Canard officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery located west of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Wanda Brashers Eckley, Ron Burge, Mark Crouch, Fred Crouch, Joe Calhoun and Bill Trial.Honorary pallbearers are the Employees of Cave City Nursing Home, Winnell Calhoun, Norma Gammill, Cathie Trial and Maxine Lassiter.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Palestine Cemetery c/o Dean Hastings, 767 W.
