Woodrow Johnson, age 89 of Strawberry, Arkansas died Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at a Batesville hospital. He was born July 17, 1920 at Sardis, Mississippi to William and Anna Pruitt Johnson. He was a U. S. Army Air Force veteran having served in World War II. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, gardening and the outdoors.He was preceded in death by his parents, three sons, Ronnie Johnson, Tommy Johnson and Christopher Johnson, three brothers, Wade Johnson, Clyde Johnson and Leroy Johnson and one sister, Buelah Bradley.Survivors include his wife of forty-one years, Mary Johnson of the home, six sons, Woody Johnson, Jr. of Mississippi, Ricky Johnson of Mammoth Spring, Mike Johnson of Evening Shade, Mike Justus of Bethesda, Steve Rimmer of Howe, Oklahoma and Johnny Johnson of Oil Trough, five daughters, Jan Hughes of Alabama, Judy Steinbeck of Florida, Donna Radtke of Texas, Lynn Miller of California and Mary Cook of Saffell and one sister Willie Jackson of Batesville, Mississippi , numerous grandchildren and and great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City. Burial will follow in the Ward Cemetery located at Strawberry with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will be Friday, March 26, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
