Lorene Partee Brooks, age 92 of Camden, formerly of Batesville died Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at a Quachita nursing center. She was born October 14, 1917 at Rush, Arkansas to Clarence and Ora (Vincent) Partee. She retired from Gateway Vocational and Technical School in Batesville as a Secretary, enjoyed writing and painting. She was a member of the Harrison Street Church of Christ.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Martin Andrew Brooks, a son, Martin Lynn Brooks, two brothers, Johnny Partee and Audley Partee, two sisters, Imogene Partee and Mildred Johnston and a grandson, Frankie Brooks.Survivors include one son Sammy Brooks and wife Patricia of Searcy, a daughter Sue Anne Warnix and husband Dale of Camden, one brother, Sammy Partee of Daytona Beach, Florida, two sisters, Maurice Friesner of El Paso, Texas and Helen Konen of Arizona, three grandchildren, Leslie Riggan of Searcy, Dusty Warnix of Bono and Julie Brown of Searcy, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Larry Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery located at Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will be Friday, March 26, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers are Robert Riggan, Marty Brown and The Members of the Searcy Dream House.
