Audene James Barnett, age 77 of Batesville died Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at a Batesville hospital. She was born February 6, 1933 at Elizabeth, Arkansas to Delford and Eva Crotts James. She retired from GenCorp Automotive in Batesville, she enjoyed her family, working in the yard and gardening. She was a member of the Jubilee Family Church.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Carl Barnett, one son Scotty Barnett, one brother Bob James and a great grandson Michael James Huff.Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Huff and Judy Watters of Locust Grove,a son Oscar Brown of Sardis, Mississippi, three brothers, Wilb James and J. C. James of Elizabeth and Rex James of Dolph, three sisters, Erma Barnett of Batesville, Betty Sanders of Dolph and Linda King of Marion, six grandchildren, Stephen Barnett and Melissa Barnett of Little Rock, Michael Huff of Lubbock, Texas, Christopher Huff and Ruthie Broadus of Batesville and Mary Lochridge of Germany.Funeral services will begin Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the Jubilee Family Church with Rev. Tony Hammack officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee's Chapel Cemetery located at Sandtown with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will be Friday, April 2, 2010 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Michael Huff, Chris Huff, Tommy Barnett, Cliff Barnett, Anthony Broadus and Ron Brown.Honorary pallbearers are all doctors, nurses and staff at the White River Medical Center in Batesville and the nurses and staff at the Rolling Hills Nursing Center.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to White River Medical Center, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Jubilee Family Church.
