Carl J. Brand III

Carl J. Brand III, age 69 of Evening Shade died Friday, April 2, 2010 at Harrisburg, Arkansas. He was born September 23, 1940 at Harrisburg, Arkansas to Carl J. Brand Jr. and Mildred Brand. He was a brick mason and of the Church of Christ faith.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara Brand, one son Carl Jay Brand IV and a sister Barbara Jo Brand.Survivors include one son, Kelly Joe Brand of Evening Shade, two brothers, Charles Brand and Kenneth Brand and one sister Catherine Mills of Harrisburg, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday, April 6 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Steve Summers officiating. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery located north of Evening Shade with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Monday, April 5, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Ronnie Qualls, Wyatt Goad, Kevin Harlson, Jim Shands, Ely Paysinger and J. R. Paysinger.Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Conway, Randy Paysinger, Jim Hooten, Junior Jones and Eddie Mills.
