R. L. Jefford

R.L. Jefford age 89 of Floral died Friday April 16, 2010 at the White County Medical Center in Searcy. He was born April 3, 1921 at Floral, Arkansas to Yewen and Roberta Pearson Jefford. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a retired supervisor for Independence County and a retired farmer. He was a member of the Floral Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Delpha Schmidt and Guila Bailey.Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Winona Arnold Jefford of the home; two sons, Ron Jefford of Searcy and Roger Jefford of Floral; one sister, Bonnie Frazier of Floral; six grandchildren, Ron Jefford Jr. and Sean Jefford both of Searcy, Hunter Biram, Mackenzie Jefford, Gabrielle Jefford, and Madelyn Jefford all of Floral; three great grandchildren, Carson Jefford, Grayson Jefford and Addison Jefford all of Searcy; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday April 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Floral Baptist Church located at Floral with Bro. Shane Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery located near Floral with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will be Monday April 19, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Ron Jefford Jr., Sean Jefford, Hunter Biram, Lanny Frazier, Lenny Frazier and David Johnston.Honorary pallbearers are Floyd Frazier, Virgil Womack, Glen Dale Gay, Dick Coots and B.L.
