W.S. 'Dub' Kendall age 85 of Batesville died Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the Wood Lawn Nursing Home in Batesville. He was born October 5, 1924 at Strawberry, Arkansas to W.S. Kendall Sr. and Lena Goff Kendall. He retired after 32 years of service from White River Production Credit Association as a Regional Vice President working primarily in lending. He was also co-owner of Merle Norman Cosmetics and Kendall's Young Fashions in Batesville. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Central Avenue United Methodist Church in Batesville.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Willene Kendall; one brother, William Paul Kendall and one sister, Beautohn Kendall Massey.Survivors include one son, Mike Kendall of Batesville; four grandchildren, Dr. Brian Kendall of Fayetteville, Karan Pierce of Rose Bud, Tara Creighton of Batesville and Haley Bunch of Phoenix, Arizone; three great grandchildren, William Preston Kendall of Fayetteville, Sydney Creighton and Will Creighton both of Batesville; one nephew, David Wilkerson of Cave City; one niece, Vivian Dollar of Houston, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Central Avenue United Methodist Church in Batesville with Rev. Paul Seay officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery located at Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Friday, May 21, 2010, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Mike Kendall, Brian Kendall, Fred Wann, Greg Nelson, Jimmy Ray Goff, Jeff Pierce, Shawn Wilkerson, David Wilkerson and Steve Coop.
