Lois Sharp Weaver, age 88 of Sidney died Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born January 29, 1922 at Cave City, Arkansas to Joseph Curtis and Armintie Mae Lassiter Sharp. She was retired from Sharp Nursing Home in Sidney, had worked for Westport Casuals in Batesville for many years and was a member of Maxville Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.R. Weaver; one brother, J.C. Sharp; two granddaughters, Rita Mae Bell and April Fern Weaver; one great-great grandson, Elisha Adam; son-in-law Harold Rogers and daughter-in-law Karen Weaver.Survivors include five sons, Dale Weaver of Evening Shade, Kendall Weaver and Robert Weaver both of Sidney, Gale Weaver of Sulphur Rock and J.L. Weaver of Osceola; three daughters, Syble Rogers of Evening Shade, Virble Bell of Cave City and Jalois Cox of Calico Rock; 29 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Maxville Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with J.L. Weaver and Kendall Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Eutopia Cemetery located west of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Friday, June 4, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be her grandsons.Memorials may be made to the Eutopia Cemetery Fund at 2062 West Center Street, Cave City, Arkansas 72521 or to the Bank of Cave City.
