Gwen Faulkner

Gwen Faulkner, age 83 of Batesville, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at her home. She was born June 24, 1926, at Batesville, Arkansas to Virgil and Laura M. Milligan Anderson. She was a homemaker, a Girl Scout leader, an advisor and national officer of Zeta Tau Alpha and a hospital volunteer for the Methodist Hospital in Jonesboro for many years. She was of the Baptist faith.She was preceded in death by her parents.Survivors include her husband, W. H. 'Buck' Faulkner of the home, two daughters, Linda Boone of Batesville and Martha Faulkner of Houston, Texas, four grandchildren, Rocky Boone of Sherwood, Michael Boone of Jacksonville Air Force Base, Alexis Galavis and Natassia Miller of Beaumont, Texas, six great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.Graveside services will begin Friday, June 25, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Oaklawn Cemetery located at Batesville with J. B. Milligan officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will begin Thursday, June 24, 2010, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Rocky Boone, Michael Boone, Bill Faulkner, Mack McClure, Chad McClure and Max Standridge.Honorary pallbearer is Wesley McClure.
