Theresa Evans Nicholson

Theresa Evans Nicholson, age 95 of Ash Flat, died Friday, June 25, 2010 at the Fulton County Hospital at Salem. She was born December 26, 1914 at Ash Flat, Arkansas to Thurman T. and Josie Soward Evans. She was a homemaker, enjoyed flowers and quilting and was a member of the Ash Flat Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 72 years, Herbert Nicholson; one son, Charles Nicholson; one infant daughter; two grandsons, Chad Oliver and Michael Anderson and great granddaughter, Camillia Oliver.Survivors include two sons, Maxie Nicholson of Modesto, California and Rex Nicholson of Ash Flat; one daughter, Mary McGee of Laurel, Mississippi, nine grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Monday, June 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ash Flat Church of Christ with Steve Summers officiating. Burial will follow in the Wiles Cemetery located at Ash Flat with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will be Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Ash Flat Church of Christ. Pallbearers are her grandsons: Roger Nicholson, Jonathan Boyer, Randy Nicholson, John McGee, Regan Nicholson and Greg Foreman.Memorials may be made to the Children's Homes Inc., 5515 Walcott Rd.
