Lillie Ethel Dodd

Lillie Ethel Dodd, age 97 of Batesville died Monday, July 5, 2010 at a Batesville nursing home. She was born January 4, 1913 at Guion, Arkansas to Gerome Alexander and Mary Jane Campbell Dale. She was a homemaker, a farmer and enjoyed quilting. She was of the Baptist faith.She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Mac Campbell and James Dodd, one daughter, Sally Ashley, seven brothers, Troy Dale, Charley Dale, Dom Dale, Earl Dale, Lynn Dale, George Dale and Abe Dale and three sisters, Melvis Arnold, Martha Bruce and Gladys Sipes.Survivors include two sons, Charles Campbell of Viola and Larry Dodd of Batesville, two daughters, Lorene Johnson of Batesville and Tilda Howell of Bexar, one sister, Inez Pearson of Illinois, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.Graveside services will be Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the Flora Cemetery located a Viola with James Ashley officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will be Wednesday, July 7, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Brewer, Lynn Dodd, Larry Justice, Ed Lackington, Michael Howell, Jimmy Lynn Howell, Kelly Howell, Robert Caldwell, Eric Caldwell, Mark Mitchell and Robbie Boyett.
