Roy H. Bailey age 76 of Evening Shade died Saturday July 10, 2010 at his home. He was born January 17, 1934 at Black Oak, Arkansas to Melvin Paul and Virginia Mae (Bradley) Bailey. He was a retired fork-lift operator for John Deere Corporation in East Moline, Illinois and a member of the Piney Fork Church of Christ at Evening Shade.He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gaylon Bailey and one granddaughter, Cynthia Kay Bailey.Survivors include his wife Joyce Bailey of the home; five sons, Jimmy Parks, Bobby Bailey, Curtis Bailey, Brian Bailey and Kevin Bailey all of Evening Shade; one daughter, Carol Ann Rutledge of Indianapolis, Indiana; one brother, Donald Bailey of Jonesboro; one sister, Sue Bristow of Lynn; twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday July 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Piney Fork Church of Christ in Evening Shade with Gerald Bolin officiating. Burial will follow in the Evening Shade Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Monday July 12, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be James Parks, Bruce Hightower, Donnie Hightower, Jacob Bailey, Mike Bristow and Terry Bristow.Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Hightower and the Men of the Piney Fork Church of Christ.
