Mary Marlene Stuntz Burrus age 78 of Evening Shade died Monday July 12, 2010 at her home. She was born November 26, 1931 at Plymouth, Indiana to Sharon Henry and Thelma Beatrice Matchett Stuntz. She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Faith Assembly of God Church in Evening Shade. She was Sunday school teacher for the primary class for 49 years and Women's Ministry Leader for many years.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Burley Burrus; one son, John Daniel Burrus; one brother, Henry Stuntz and two sisters, Edith Stuntz and Marie Kreighbaum.Survivors include one son, Chris Burrus of Evening Shade; six daughters, Kathy Bailey of Evening Shade, Lynette Chambers of Suffolk Virginia, Bonnie Reed and Caroline Treat both of Cave City, Janice Lee and Marsha Stark both of Batesville; three brothers, David Stuntz and Harold Stuntz both of Cave City and Paul Stuntz of Ash Flat; three sisters, Velma Trump of Plymouth, Indiana, Esther Cooper of Chicago, Illinois and Anna Arnold of Ash Flat, twenty-nine grandchildren, forty-two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Friday July 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Faith Assembly of God Church in Evening Shade with Dr. Jim Chambers and Rev. Jeremiah Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Wiles Cemetery located at Ash Flat with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will be Thursday July 15, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Randy Avey, Joe Chambers, Michael Light, Brad Webb, John Reed, Justin Cross, Bill Cross and Sean Bailey.Honorary pallbearers are Zack Webb, Isaiah Stark, Curtis Burks, Arlis Lee Jr., Patrick Lee, Robert Reed, Brian Bailey and Dean Bailey.
