Fred Akers

Fred Akers, age 74 of Batesville died Thursday, August 5, 2010 at a Batesville hospital. He was born July 16, 1936 at St. Petersburg, Florida to James Deward and Katie Hopkins Akers. He was a member of the North Batesville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, James Akers and one sister Estella Akers.Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Vanessa Akers of the home, one brother, David Akers of Florida, six children, many grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.Memorial services will be held Monday August 9, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the North Batesville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.No visitation is planned.
