Edward Herbert Creech, age 93 of Batesville died Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at a Batesville hospital. He was born October 4, 1916 at Myrtle, Missouri to Jefferson E. and Ora Lee Ellis Creech. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force where he served in World War II and the Korean War. Prior to his military service he was part of the Civilian Conservation Corps. After his retirement from the military he sold real estate for Lynn Williams Realty in Batesville. He enjoyed his family, gardening and traveling. He was a member of the Moorefield Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Roy Creech, Turk Creech and Gene Creech, four sisters, Ethel Barber, Floy Mohlke, Louis Apple and Audria Apple and a granddaughter, Jennifer Moser.Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Martha Jean Creech of the home, two sons, James Creech of Jonesboro and Gary Creech of the home, two daughters, Judy James and Linda Moser of Batesville, seven grandchildren, Blake James of New York, Jason Moser of Batesville, Kelly Bilby of Springdale, Brandon Creech of Orem, Utah, Erin Creech of Centerton, Whitney Creech of Little Rock and Megan Creech of Batesville, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Lavon Bloodworth and Rev. Mary Catherine McSpadden officiating. Burial will follow in the Egner Cemetery located at Salado with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will be Friday, August 13, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Larry Apple, Lanny Barber, Donnie Creech, Glenn Mohlke, Carroll Mohlke and Freddie Mohlke.Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Tom Cummins, Hylas Pierson, Buddy Wilkins, His Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
