Florence Jackson Taylor, age 85 of the Gainsboro Community died Friday, August 27, 2010 at a Batesville hospital. She was born August 19, 1925 at the Gainsboro Community to Fred Jackson Sr. and Eva Tripp Jackson. She was a homemaker, was a cook at the Cord Charlotte School, enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William 'Bill' Taylor, one brother, Fred Jackson Jr. and one sister Ellen Beach.Survivors include three sons, Lonnie Taylor of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Dr. Robert 'Bob' Taylor of Jonesboro and Tommy Taylor of Batesville, two daughters, Lois Meredith and Judy Engles of Batesville, one brother, Bill Jackson of Hardy, three sisters, Frances Jackson of Batesville, Lucy Manley of Cushman and Rose Dugger of Lonoke, ten grandchildren, Jill Taylor Roberts of St. Charles, Missouri, Matthew Taylor of Frisco, Texas. Abby Taylor Kidd of North Little Rock, Brandon Taylor of Batesville, Karen Taylor Steele of Sulphur Rock, April Taylor Matheny of Cave City, Todd Forshee of Springfield, Missouri, Stephanie Engles Klann of Seattle, Washington, Whitney Clark of Little Rock and Ariel Clark of Jonesboro, fourteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Visitation will begin Monday, August 30, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with a graveside service immediately following at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery north of Batesville with Ralph Wallis officiating.
