Naomi Smith

Naomi Smith, age 90 of Poughkeepsie died Saturday, August 28, 2010 at a Cave City nursing home. She was born July 16, 1920 at Poughkeepsie, Arkansas to Charley and Fannie Medlock. She was a homemaker and was retired from Smith's Grocery Store in Poughkeepsie. She was a member of the Poughkeepsie Church of Christ.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond L. Smith and one son Harold Smith.Survivors include one son Charles Smith of Poughkeepsie, one granddaughter, Nancy Zimmermann of Evening Shade, three great grandchildren, Brittany McGuire, Bryce McGuire and Lillian Zimmermann of Evening Shade, one sister Addie Runsick of Poughkeepsie and one brother Tommy Medlock of Newbern, Tennessee, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Poughkeepsie Church of Christ with Troy Henley Officiating. Burial will follow in the Spotts Cemetery located at Poughkeepsie with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Monday, August 30, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers are Dean Parsley, Darrell Parsley, W. E. Smith, Kirby Smith, Bill Smith and Jim Baxter.
