Merle Cossey

Merle H. Cossey, age 76 of Cave City, died Saturday, August 28, 2010 at her home. She was born August 19, 1934 in Centralia, Washington to Richard Earl and Kalma Otilda Erickson Hope. She was a homemaker and was retired from Nu-Way Linen Supply in Batesville. She enjoyed her family, bluegrass music, quilting and traveling. She was a member of the Cave City Church of ChristShe was preceded in death by her parents.Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Clyde Cossey; one son, Kevan Cossey of Cave City; one daughter, Anita Huckabee and husband Rick of Poughkeepsie; two brothers, Richard Hope, Jr of Morton, Washington and Eric Hope of Thorne Bay, Alaska; one sister, Judy Wentzel of Onalaska, Washington; four grandchildren, Adam Huckabee and Josh Huckabee both of Poughkeepsie, Tasha King of Corpus Christi, Texas and Tressa Winters of Cave City; six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Friday, September 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cave City Church of Christ with Dean Fugett and Barry Wilkes officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers are Adam Huckabee, Josh Huckabee, Nathan Huckabee, James Watson, Kevin Tate and Eric Fugett.
