Doris Smith

Doris M. Smith age 86 of Batesville died Sunday August 29, 2010 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born August 26, 1924 at Kankakee, Illinois to Charles and Mabel Metzka Boudreau. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith. After living in Illinois, Arkansas, California and Arizona, Doris came back to live in Batesville in 1999 to be near her children. She was fun loving and young at heart and loved her family dearly.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 52 years, Leonard B. Smith and a brother Howard Boudreau.Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, James A. and Elizabeth Smith of Norfork, Arkansas, Steven S. and Sallie Smith of Burns, Tennessee and Michael L. and Martha Sue Smith of Batesville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Norma Boudreau of Danville, Illinois and Charles and Sharon Boudreau of Sun City, Arizona; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorraine and Walt Boyd of Sun City, Arizona and June and Roland Frazier of Reno, Nevada; six grandchildren, Jennifer Schmitt of Naples, Florida, Rebecca Schmidt of Fayetteville,Arkansas Jamie Bridgers of Batesville, Autumn Sleder of Traverse City, Michigan, Paul Smith of Tiptonville, Tennessee and Sossity Smith of Osceola, Arkansas; eleven great grandchildren, Owen Bridgers and Sophie Bridgers both of Batesville, Megan Schmitt and Michael Schmitt both of Naples, Florida, Lucas Ansel and Jack Ansel both of Fayetteville, Jada Smith, Destiny Smith and Buck Smith all of Osceola, Cameron Sleder and Jack Sleder both of Traverse City, Michigan; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.A memorial service will be held in Phoenix, Arizona at a later date.
