Kathi May Hutchison

Kathi May Hutchison, 68 of Evening Shade, went home to be with the Lord on September 10, 2010 at White River Medical Center in Batesville. Born November 17, 1941 in Newport, Arkansas, she was the firstborn daughter of Rex and Kate Pettijohn Hutchison, descendants of the pioneering families of Evening Shade.She was owner of Piney Creek Builders, a farmer, and she loved hunting and fishing and the outdoors. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Evening Shade and a graduate of Evening Shade High School. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Arkansas State University.She was preceded in death by her parents.Survivors include lifelong friend and sister, Joyce Wilson; sisters, Tommie Herrn Horton and Rebekah Hutchison and brother, Robert Newton Hutchison all of Evening Shade; niece, Kimberly Ann Whitten of Ash Flat, and nephews, Joseph Rex Hutchison and Robert Jacob Hutchison of Evening Shade.A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Evening Shade.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Evening Shade.
