Rev. Michael Shane Ring, age 39 of Batesville died Saturday, September 18, 2010 at a Batesville hospital. He was born August 14, 1971 at Batesville, Arkansas to J. D. Ring and Lula Blankenship Ring. He was a minister with the Assemblies of God General Council. He served in Chi Alpha Campus Ministries, U.S. Missions and recently was pastor of the Southside Assembly of God. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.He was preceded in death by his father, J. D. Ring, his stepfather, William Wilkes, his grandparents, Jeff and Irene Ring and George and Pauline Blankenship and his stepsister Nona Ford.Survivors include his wife of nineteen years, Rev. Ann Ring and two daughters, Petra Ring and Zoe Ring all of the home, his mother and stepfather, Lula and Junior Jones of Nelsonville, one sister Tammy Romero of Mountain View, four step brothers, Archie Wilkes, Danny Wilkes and Bobby Wilkes all of Cave City and Buell Wilkes of Evening Shade and one step sister, Wonema Thompson of Cave City, nephews, Traven Romero and Dalton Romero of Mountain View, Trever Hatfield of Cave City, Corey DuVall and Tristan DuVall both of Connecticut and a niece Summer Miller of Japan and a host of other relatives and friends.Graveside services will begin Monday, September 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Parsley Cemetery located east of Cave City with Rev. Brian Ryals officiating.Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.No visitation is planned.A celebration of life for Michael will be held Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Southside Assembly of God Church.Pallbearers will be Barry Treadway, Brent Rogers, Sean Musser, Mark Johnson, James Ramsey, Nick Wallis and Tyler Pruitt.Honorary pallbearers will be Traven Romero, Dalton Romero, Trever Hatfield, John Knappenberger and Tim Hatfield.In lieu of flowers please make memorials to Chi Alpha, P.O.
