Willa Mae Howard, age 77 of Cave City, died Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at a Batesville Hospital. She was born December 14, 1932 at Sandtown, Arkansas to Gilbert and Gladys Blue Smith. She was retired from White Rogers in Batesville and her favorite hobby was collecting antiques. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Cave City.She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, W.N. Smith.Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Charles Howard of the home; two sons, Brad Howard and wife, Wendy, and Bruce Howard and wife, April, both of Cave City; one daughter, Vickie Tackett and husband Gary of Cave City; three grandchildren, Tonya King and husband, Johnny, and Breana Howard, all of Cave City and Joey Howard of Batesville; three great grandchildren, Tim King and Caleb Howard both of Cave City and Nathan Howard of Nashville, Tennessee and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Friday, September 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Cave City with Rev. Bobby Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery located in Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Cave City.Pallbearers will be Donald Howard, Ronald Howard, Tim Howard, Brent Howard, Billy Snow and L.D. Moore. Honorary pallbearer will be Bro. Jim West.
