William Sylvester

William 'Bill' Sylvester, age 80 of Batesville died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born March 19, 1930 at Pontiac, Mississippi to Carl and Mazie Lee Ramsey Moore. He served in the U. S. Army as a Paratrooper from 1951 to 1956, was a retired truck driver and a member of the Parkview Baptist Church in Batesville.He was preceded in death by his parents.Survivors include his wife Wanda Sylvester of the home, two sons, Ron Moore of Batesville and Kenny Manuel of Chula Vista, California, six daughters, Debbie Moore of San Diego, California, Lynn Mikesell of Wichita, Kansas, Robin Wright of Cave City, Kathy Manuel of California, Karen Johnston of Cave City and Karol Perkey of Sidney, seventeen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.Private memorial service will be held at a later date.No visitation is planned.
