Sylvia P. Carter, age 62 of Cave City, died Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at her home. She was born March 7, 1948 at Middlesex, New Jersey to Walter Paul and Marion Salvman Marriner. She worked at the Cave City Nursing Home and enjoyed her chihuahuas.She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Paul Marriner and her husband, Johnny Carter.Survivors include four daughters, Deana Davenport and Denise Dickenson both of Cave City, Julie Butler of Calamine, and Tina Linderoth of California; her mother, Marion Martin of Alaska; one brother, Bruce Wayne Marriner of California; two sisters, Della Haas of Montana, and Linda Alexander of North Carolina; eight grandchildren, Rechelle Roush, Tiffany Marcum, and Sierra Dickenson all of Cave City, Stephanie Marcum and Charlene Martin both of Batesville, Charles Dean Davenport, Kenny Dickenson and Andy Dickenson, all of California; eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Mitchell Kazzee officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery located at Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Monday, December 6, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Donnie Butler, Jeffery Delcamp, Roger Wilson, Buddy Wilson, David Roush, and Thomas Wilson.
