Delbert Lee Boyd, age 66 of Horseshoe Bend, died Friday, December 24, 2010 at his home. He was born May 25, 1944 at Sedgwick, Arkansas to Edward and Mary Magdalene Jones Boyd. He was a welder, enjoyed his family and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a member of Myron Community Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Boyd, one sister, Virginia Mae Boyd, and grandson, Malcolm Boyd.Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Rose Boyd of the home; one son, Wayne Boyd of Horseshoe Bend; three daughters, Elizabeth 'Lisa' Herrin, Danielle Smith and Ashley Coffey all of Horseshoe Bend; mother, Mary Boyd of Jonesboro; one brother, Dean Boyd of Jonesboro; two sisters, Joyce Williams and Edna Boyd both of Jonesboro; one grandson, Devin Greenwood and one granddaughter Nikki Boyd both of Horseshoe Bend, two step grandchildren, Junior Adams and Josh Adams both of Horseshoe Bend; one great grandchild, Maylea Smith of Horseshoe Bend, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral service will begin Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Marvin Cemetery located near Calamine with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel.Pallbearers are his nephews.
