Rick Dunehew

Rick Dunehew, age 55 of Dowdy died Monday, December 27, 2010 at his home. He was born February 28, 1955 at Peoria, Illinois to Robert N. and Willa Jean Dunehew. He was employed by ConAgra in Batesville and O'Reilly Auto Parts in Newport. He was a Christian and a member of the Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church in Dowdy.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cordie and Beatrice Dunehew and Charlie and Ethel Straughn and a great uncle, Joe Inmon.Survivors include two sons, Jason Dunehew of Charlotte and Bobby Dunehew of Cord, one daughter, Lindsey Gooch of Dowdy, his parents, Robert and Willa Jean Dunehew of Cape Fair, Missouri, one brother, Rod Dunehew of Morton, Illinois, one sister, Peggy Myers of Edelstein, Illinois, three grandchildren, Cara Dunehew of Charlotte and Samuel Dunehew and Michael Dunehew both of Cord, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Friday, December 31, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church in Dowdy with Bro. Jackie Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in the Philadelphia Cemetery located in Dowdy with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will be Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.Pallbeaerers will be Jason Dunehew, Ronny Lindsey, Rob Reschke, Daivd Anderson, Cody Melton and Adam Martin.Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Melton, Ronnie Melton, Don Wayne Anderson, Robert Melton, Justin Melton, Aaron Gooch, Samuel Dunehew and Michael Dunehew.
