John Raymond Edley

John Raymond Edley, age 83 of Batesville died Saturday, January 22, 2011 at an Ash Flat nursing home. He was born December 20, 1927 at Marcella, Arkansas in Hubshoot Holler to Able and Ethel Noble Edley. He retired after working 30 years for Dupont in Seaford, Delaware, he enjoyed farming and gardening and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Frieda K. Edley and two brothers, Henry Edley and Ralph Edley.Survivors include one son, Chris W. Edley of Batesville, four step sons, brother, Robert Edley of Charlotte, sister, Sarah Lou Doyle or Oregon, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.Graveside services will begin Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Charlotte Cemetery with Rev. Carl Blankenship officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will be Monday, January 24, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
