Amel Haley, age 77 of Evening Shade died Monday, February 7, 2011 at a Batesville hospital. He was born June 10, 1933 at Evening Shade, Arkansas to Clayton and Sarah Edna Carter Haley. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran, worked as a farmer and construction worker and was a member of the Believers Community Church in Batesville.He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dallas Haley and sister, Velmarie Hunnicutt.Survivors include his wife Linda Haley of the home, four sons, Lonnie A. Haley and Monty Haley both of Evening Shade, Doug Anderson of Pfeiffer and Michael Anderson of Batesville, two brothers, James Haley of Cherokee Village and Clee Haley of Hanford, California, two grandchildren, Jessica Smart of Evening Shade and Blake Anderson of Batesville, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Memorial services will be Friday, February 11, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Believers Community Church in Batesville with Bro.
