Roger 'Bill' W. Ives I, age 52 of Spring, Texas, formerly of Batesville died Thursday, March 17, 2011 at his home. He was born December 11, 1958 at Batesville, Arkansas. He was a machinist, enjoyed music, fishing and sports. He was of the Southern Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by his father, Harry W. Ives, grandparents, James and Daisy Ives and Paul and Freda Ackerman and daughter, Jeanna Ives.Survivors include his wife, Shelly Ives of the home, three sons, Joshua Ives of Hawaii, Roger W. Ives of Houston and Travis Ives of the home, mother, Betty Ackerman of Spring, Texas, two brothers, David Ives of Spring, Texas and O.D. Cobur II of Cypress, Texas, three sisters, Lanelle Hudson of San Leon, Texas, Paula Ferro of Spring, Texas and Cheryl Konrad of Cypress, Texas, four grandchildren, Natalie Ives of Batesville, Cadence Ives of Hawaii, Jonathan Michael Ives and Alleana M. Ives both of Houston, Texas, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Graveside services will begin Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Oaklawn Cemetery located in Batesville with Bro. Roy Ford officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.No visitation is planned.Honorary pallbearers are Joshua Ives, Roger Ives, Steven Ives, Kelsey Hudson, Gary Anderson and Jason Ferro.
