Penny Ann Bushatz Sullivan

Penny Ann Bushatz Sullivan, age 69 of Batesville died Friday, March 25, 2011 at a Batesville nursing home. She was born March 9, 1942 at Cleveland, Ohio to George and Norma Bushatz. She was a school teacher having retired from Cave City Public School after more than 20 years of service. She also taught at Highland and Desha schools. She enjoyed horses, traveling and cats. She was a member of the Asberry United Methodist Church in Batesville.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Carroll Sullivan.Survivors include two sons, Jordan Sullivan and Jason Sullivan both of Batesville, one brother, Craig Bushatz of Batesville, five grandchildren, Alissa Sullivan, Clay Sullivan, Justin Sullivan, Julie Rogers and Cassie Swaim all of Batesville and a host of other relatives and friends.Graveside memorial services will begin Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Powells Chapel Cemetery located at Poughkeepsie. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will begin Friday, April 1, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel.Honorary pallbearers are Janet Ward, Jane Marotta, Brenda Easter, Carolyn Johnston, Sue and Bill Marlin, Heather Sullivan, Dana Dombroski, Fred Heyde and Reva Bushatz.
