Aileen Mullen Calvery, age 83 of Batesville died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born March 3, 1928 in Strawberry, Arkansas to Austin and Bertha Campbell Mullen. She was a missionary for forty plus years in Japan, a Christian and a member of the Believers'Community Church.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wesley Calvery, one son Jonathan Calvery and one brother, James Austin Mullen.Survivors include son, Michael Calvery of Austin, Texas, daughter, Rebecca Calvery Arthur of Snow Hill, North Carolina, sister, Eileen Crafton of Batesville, four grandchildren, J. W. Calvery and Daniel Calvery both of Fort Smith, Lori Westfall and Jamie Calvery both of Mission, Kansas, four great grandchildren, Trey Westfall and Truitt Westfall both of Magnolia, Texas, Lori Lee Reeves and Landra Hamm both of Mission Kansas, many other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Friday, April 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Hoover Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Lancaster Cemetery located at Strawberry with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until service time.Pallbearers will be Troy Middleton, Chris Middleton, BIll Furrow, Daniel Calvery, J. W. Calvery and Robin Goodwin. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Eno, Mike Furrow and Blake Goodwin.
