Olden Huckabee

Clarence Olden Huckabee age 83 of Smithville died Friday April 22, 2011 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born January 19, 1928 at Poughkeepsie, Arkansas to Clarence David and Bama Savannah Watkins Huckabee. He was an employee of the Sharp County Road Department.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Jimmie Huckabee; two sons, Michael Huckabee and James Aaron Huckabee; three daughters, Elaine Hill, Gloria Huckabee and Selena Huckabee; three sisters, Violet Cokes, Hazel Heath and Helen Snyder and one great grandson, Aaron Dean Huckabee.Survivors include two daughters, Beth Fleming of Cave City and Rebecca Biggers of Yuba City, California; one brother, Lloyd Huckabee of Poughkeepsie; two sisters, Vera Hatfield of Gassville and Wanda Lasley of Cave City; eight grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Wednesday April 27, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Phillip Lewallen officiating. Burial will follow in the Marvin Cemetery located near Nelsonville with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will be Tuesday April 26, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Michael Huckabee, David Huckabee, Doyne Huckabee, Damien Huckabee, Adrian Downs and Matthew Polston.Honorary pallbearers are the Sharp County Road Crew.
