Harold G. Davis, age 84 of Locust Grove died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at a Batesville nursing home. He was born October 13, 1926 at Pleasant Grove, Arkansas to James I. and Lola Gray Davis. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and was retired from International Harvester in Moline, Illinois.He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Ava Dosset Davis and two sons, Harold G. Davis Jr. and Danny Davis.Survivors include his wife Dorotha 'Dot' Logan Davis of the home, two daughters, Deb Notttle and husband Sam of Marquette, Michigan, Dana Hoffnagle and husband Matt of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, step son Bruce Winston and wife Kathy of Locust Grove and brother, James Howard Davis of Athens, Alabama, sister Billie Jean Foster of Pleasant Grove, seven grandchildren, Zac Nottle, Nick Nottle, Jake Nottle, Miles Hoffnagle, Jim Hoffnagle, Brian Hoffnagle and Bruce Winston, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Graveside services will begin Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery located at Pleasant Grove with Bufford Hatfield officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will begin Friday, June 10, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Honorary pallbearers will be Chris La Fera, Brady Allender, Scott Wood, Brian Hoffnagle, Zac Nottle and Bruce Winston.
