Chester D. Long age 75 of McHue died Saturday June 18, 2011 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born November 25, 1935 at Salado, Arkansas to Mack Owen and Laura Emiline Daniel Long. He was retired from the United States Air Force and also retired from Ideal Baking Company in Batesville. He was of the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Martha Jane Long and three brothers, Charles Long, Junior Long and David Long.Survivors include two sons, Jeff Long and wife Joyce of McHue and Doug Long and wife Heather of Lewisville, Texas; two daughters, Jane Medlock and husband Robin and Jennifer McBride and husband Billy both of McHue; two brothers, Mack Long and Melvin Long both of Little Rock, one sister, Martha Jane Creech of Batesville; six grandchildren, Jennifer Long of New Orleans, Louisiana, Jacob Long, Ethan McBride and Matthew McBride all of McHue, Tiffany Medlock of Camden and Chelsy West of Aubrey, Texas; two great grandchildren Dannielle Doherty of Camden and Layla West of Aubrey, Texas; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday June 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Heights Baptist Church in Batesville with Bro. Aaron Maxwell and Bro. Troy Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in the Egner Cemetery located near Salado with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Monday June 20, 2011 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Jacob Long, Ethan McBride, Matthew McBride, Earvin Moser, Jason Moser and Brady Dockins.Honorary pallbearers are Billy McBride, Robin Medlock and Kenny Smith.
