Willie Odell Brooks

Willie O. Brooks, age 88 of Batesville died Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born January 13, 1923 at Mount Pleasant, Arkansas to Jo Bell and Odist McKay. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church in Bethesda.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clifford M. Brooks, brother, Clyde McKay and sisters, Minnie Dunegan and Jessie Dowell.Survivors include son, Johnny Lee Brooks and wife Nora of Locust Grove, daughter, Sharie Kay Williams of Batesville, brother, H.C. McKay and sister, Ruby Goforth both of Batesville, granddaughter, Heather Brooks Fuqua and two great grandchildren, Chloe Brooks and Bella Reese Fuqua all of Edmond, Oklahoma, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church in Bethesda with Rev. Alan Brown and Chris Sims officiating.Burial will follow in the Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery located at Bethesda with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will begin Friday, June 24, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers are David Campbell, Douglas Tate, Derrick Campbell, Glen Brooks, Ronney Herrington and Robert Patterson.Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Brown, Jeff McKay, Joel Brown and Travis Tate.
