Edgar Mynatt

Edgar 'Dean' Mynatt, age 79 of Sidney died Thursday, June 23, 2011 in a Batesville hospital. He was born January 5, 1932 at Sidney, Arkansas to Harvie and Nora Mynatt. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a farmer and enjoyed playing pitch. He was a member of the Sidney Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by his parents.Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Doris Mynatt of the home, three sons, Danny Mynatt, Benny Mynatt and Billy Mynatt, and one daughter Patricia Carter all of Sidney, one brother, Roy Mynatt of Mount Pleasant and one sister Lucille Chambers of Washington, thirteen grandchildren, Brian Carter and Brandy Carter both of Cave City, Jodi Marshall and Tyra Mynatt both of Texas, Danni Marie Mynatt of Oklahoma, Kendra Mynatt Burrow of Batesville, Lindsay Ludwig of Marianna, Casey Mynatt, Lance Mynatt and Cody Mynatt all of Sidney, Sarah Mynatt of Cabot, Melissa Bowlin and Megan Hipp both of Batesville, six great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sidney Baptist Church with Bro. Bobby Sanders and Bro. Joe Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery located at Sidney with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will begin Saturday, June 25, 2011 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Sidney Baptist Church.Pallbearers are Ronnie Schulz, Scott Bailey, Frankie Bailey, Robby Qualls, Justin Davis and Wendell Turner.Honorary pallbearers are all of his card playing buddies and Mark Herrington.
