Edward Crutcher, age 78 of Rosie died Monday, July 4, 2011 at a Jonesboro hospital. He was born October 17, 1932 at Cave City, Arkansas to William and Bertie Brewer Crutcher. He was retired from Batesville Water Utilities, enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his four-wheeler. He was a member of the Rosie Baptist Church in Rosie. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter-in-law, Jamie Crutcher, three brothers, Dan Crutcher, Bill Crutcher and Bob Crutcher and four sisters, Myrtle Burge, Irene Simpson, Willene Self and Annetta Kelly.Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Betty Crutcher of the home, son, Keith Crutcher of Rosie, daughter, Martha Fleming of Batesville, three sisters, Addie Fike of Rosie, Louise Rutledge and Pat Simmons both of Batesville, two grandchildren, Drew Fleming of Fayetteville and Kylie Crutcher of Rosie, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Friday, July 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Rosie Baptist Church in Rosie with Bro. S.D. Hacker and Farrell Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Springs Cemetery located at Rosie with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will be Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.Pallbears will be Lonnie Buchanan, Larry Reeves, Billy Corter, Leasul Long, Rex Brightwell and Red DavisHonorary pallbearers are Judge Norman Harkey, Judge Tim Weaver, Cornelius Burrow, Rosie Baptist Church Adult Men's Sunday School Class and the formerand current employees of the Batesville Water Company.
