Thomas Lee Garland age 70 of Cave City died Tuesday July 26, 2011 at Batesville. He was born October 12, 1940 at Zion, Arkansas to Thomas Lincoln and Elsie Arnold Garland. He was a tree trimmer for West Tree Service for many years and a member of the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City.He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant brothers; one sister, Cleda Bishop; one half brother, James Hightower and one half sister, Mae Pierce.Survivors include his wife, Linda Landers Garland of the home; one son, Brian Garland and wife Bridget of Cave City; one sister, Veda Nokes of Searcy; one half-sister, Agnes Lindsey of Batesville; one grandson, Skyler James Garland of Cave City; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Friday July 29, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Larry Etheridge and Bro. Grayden Milligan officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Thursday July 28, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Chad Wooldridge, Adam Landers, Ronald Weaver, Phillip Smith, Roger Randolph and Ernest White.Memorials may be made to the Thomas Garland Memorial Fund at First Community Bank in Cave City.
