Barbara Jean Coats Winnett Marcum

Barbara Jean Coats Winnett Marcum, age 68 of Pittsburg, Texas, formerly of Evening Shade died Saturday, July 30, 2011 at her home. She was born May 11, 1943 at Marked Tree, Arkansas to John Edward and Coyla Jane Thomas Coats. She was a homemaker, enjoyed her family, reading, plants and flowers. She was of the Pentecostal faith.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Otis Edward Marcum, son Joshua Marcum and an infant brother and infant sister.Survivors include three daughters, Margaret Burrus and husband Rick, Linda Beckham and husband Dale and Dianna Marcum all of Pittsburg, Texas, two step sons, Jay Marcum of Littleton, Colorado and Ron Marcum of Chicago, Illinois, two brothers, Johnny Coats of Poughkeepsie and Kenneth Coats of Smithville, three sisters, Dorthy Floyd and Hazel Browder both of Cave City and Joyce Gunnip of Evening Shade, four grandchildren, Willie Fletcher and April Fletcher both of Pittsburg, Tiffany Marcum of Cave City and Stephanie Marcum of Batesville, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church in Nelsonville with Bro Phillip Lewallen officiating. Burial will follow in the Spotts Cemetery located at Poughkeepsie with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Tuesday, August 2, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers are Stan Jones, Willie Fletcher, James Poindexter, Little John Coats, Allen Coats and David BrockHonorary pallbearers are Willie Dale Fletcher, Rick Burrus, Dale Beckham, Kenneth Coats and Johnny Coats.
