Delores Mae Brooks

Delores Mae Brooks, age 75 of Smithville died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at her home. She was born April 26, 1936 at Smithville, Arkansas to Jack and Grace Tanner Thacker. She was a homemaker and member of the Lone Oak Baptist Church in Smithville.She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Willard Thacker, Charles Thacker, Gerald Thacker, Mark Thacker, Richard Thacker and Conward Thacker, and two sisters, Florieda Thacker and Linda Swenson.Survivors include two sons, Roy Hayes of Sanford, Florida and Jeff Brooks of Fort Worth, Texas, one brother, Harold Thacker of Boydsville, four sisters, Lorieda 'Dee' Carter of Winter Haven, Florida, Loveda Drury and Shirley Drury both of Marmaduke and Joyce Malone of Paragould, three grandchildren, Brittany Brooks of Batesville, Justin Brooks and Trevor Brooks both of Fort Worth, Texas several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Friday, August 5, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Morgan and Bro. Bill Teague officiating. Burial will follow in the Townsend Cemetery located at Smithville with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will be Thursday, August 4, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Roy Thacker, David Thacker Jr., David McAnally, Keith McAnally, Eric Johnson and Trent Seat.Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Drury, Joe Cox and Ricky Pickett.
