Donnie Gene Albertson

Donnie Gene Albertson age 66 of Poughkeepsie died Friday August 5, 2011 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born January 31, 1945 at Ardmore, Oklahoma to Monroe and Fronie McAnally Albertson. He was retired from Halliburton Corporation in Hobbs, New Mexico and of the Assembly of God faith.He was preceded in death by his father, Monroe Albertson; stepfather, Jack Nelson; his wife, Ruth Albertson; one brother, Jackie Meryl Nelson and one infant sister.Survivors include one son, Kevin Albertson of Poughkeepsie; one daughter, Michelle Bruner of Surprise, Arizona; his mother, Fronie Nelson of Ore City, Texas; one brother, Sam Nelson of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; two sisters, Carolyn Cameron of Ore City, Texas and Beverly Baxter of Konawa, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Monroe Albertson of Poughkeepsie, Sarah Bruner and Chloe Bruner both of Surprise, Arizona; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was also survived by his beloved dog, Smokey.Funeral services will begin Monday August 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Phillip Lewallen officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery located at Nelsonville with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Sunday August 7, 2011 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Sam Nelson, Michael Bruner, Brian Snyder, W.G. Jones, Kenneth Seat and Stanley Jones.Honorary pallbearers are Orville Stigall, Jim Piper and Dr. George Jackson and Staff.
