Jim Hinkle, age 84 of Cave City died Monday, August 15, 2011 at a Batesville hospital. He was born December 3, 1926 at Mountain View, Arkansas to George Eldridge and Mamie Beulah Wade Eldridge. He was a U. S. Army World War II veteran, retired from Rustoleum Corporation in Evanston, Illinois and was a farmer. He was a member of the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church north of Cave City.He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Danny Ray Hinkle and sister Minnie Jean Guest.Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Ruby Hinkle of the home, three sons, Jerry Hinkle of Phoenix, Arizona, Larry Hinkle of Cave City and Steve Hinkle of Tucson, Arizona, daughter, Jimmy Ann Christiansen of Illinois, brother, G. E. Hinkle Jr. of Aubrey, five grandchildren, Jenny Sharum and Kim Anderson both of Illinois, Ashlee Hinkle and Brittany McGuffin both of Arizona and Jamie DeHart Hinkle of Florida, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be Friday, August 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church located north of Cave City with Bro Boyce Johnson and Bro. Grayden Milligan officiating. Burial will follow in the Maxville Cemetery located north of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Friday, August 19, 2011 from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church.Pallbearers are Charles Willmuth, Marty Morgan, Ronnie Ashley, Arbra Perkey, Darell Shreve and Chad Wooldridge.
