Christopher Boyd

Christopher Wayne Boyd, age 51 of Poughkeepsie died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at a Batesville hospital. He was born June 23, 1960 at Casa Grande, Arizona to Wayne Guy and Florence Mae Goodson Boyd. He was a carpenter, enjoyed drawing, fishing and hunting. He was of the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by his father.Survivors include his mother and step father, Florence and Carrol McCallister of Poughkeepsie, three brothers, Clay Boyd of Alexander, James Boyd of Jonesboro and Carl Boyd of Cave City and sister, Sandra Morris of Monette, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Graveside services will be Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Spotts Cemetery located at Poughkeepsie with Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.No visitation is planned.In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association.
