Debra Jean Branscum Acklin, age 55 of Newark died Thursday, August 18, 2011 at her home. She was born September 23, 1955 at Mishawaka, Indiana to Richard and Jane Tripp Branscum. She was a homemaker, volunteered for American Cancer Society, enjoyed her grandchildren, church, fishing and cooking. She was a member of the Hazel Edwards Memorial United Methodist Church in Newark. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carl and Mary Tripp and Elbert and Pearl Branscum.Survivors include her husband of 38 years Dale Acklin of the home, three daughters, Twyliah Acklin, Shelley Pfitzner and Ramona Thompson all of Newark, her parents, Richard and Jane Branscum of Batesville, sister, Janie Blaxton of Salado, eight grandchildren, Kandess Pfitzner and Carsyn Pfitzner both of Newark and Kimberly Pfitzner of Batesville, Tylor Thompson, Austin Thompson, Skyler Mitchell, Maison Mitchell and Maddie Mitchell all of Newark and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be Monday August 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Newark with Rev. Rob Ernest officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Springs Cemetery located at Newark with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will be Sunday, August 21, 2011 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.Pallbearers are Steve Insell, Ted Hyslip, Rusty Branscum, Sammy Page and Gary Bullard.Honorary pallbearers are Skyler Mitchell and Tylor Thompson.
