Ellen Fay Story, age 95 of Little Rock, formerly of Cave City died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock. She was born November 5, 1915 at Cave City, Arkansas to King William and Lee Ford Story. She was a Cave City High School graduate and attended Arkansas College, which later became Lyon College in Batesville. Fay worked 36 years for Sears/Roebuck. She began her career as a merchandiser and eventually became a professional seamstress crafting custom draperies before her retirement. She was an active and longtime member of the Geyer Springs Methodist Church, a member of Eastern Star and had a lengthy involvement with the Salvation Army.She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Coy Story, Tolly Story, Bly Story, Guy Story, Billy Ray Story, Kay Story and one sister Clynora Sweeten.Survivors include two sisters, Ivy Bea Lackey and Emy Lee Selby both of Little Rock.Funeral services will be Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Geyer Springs United Methodist Church, 5500 Geyer Springs Rd., Little Rock, AR with Rev. Dr. Candace Barron officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Church. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.No graveside services are planned.
