Mary 'Libo' Elizabeth Gallagher, age 83 of Batesville died Saturday, September 10, 2011 at a Batesville nursing home. She was born January 18, 1928 at Black Rock, Arkansas to George Newton and Alma Wintha Holloway Long. She retired from ConAgra after 32 years of service and enjoyed crocheting, dancing and bingo. She was a member of the Desha First Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, George Michael Gallagher, brother, Jimmy Long, four grandchildren, Linda Gallagher, Margo Mattox, Chester Lynn Graveline and Connie Strother and two great grandchildren, Tim Gallagher and Brian Gallagher.Survivors include two sons Bill Gallagher and wife Charlotte of Bethesda, John Gallagher of Batesville, four daughters, Barbara Rutledge of Batesville, Wanda Strother of Cord, Jimmie Gill and husband Gene of Phoenix, Arizona and Dee Wilkerson and husband Shawn of Batesville, two sisters, Barbara Ward of Batesville, Alma Duty of Phoenix, Arizona, 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Desha First Baptist Church with Bro. Troy Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in the Hutchison Mountain Cemetery located in the Hutchison Mountain Community with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service. Visitation will begin Monday, September 12, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be William Graveline, Matt Gallagher, Chris Gallagher, Scott Gallagher, Michael Story and Doug Carnett.Honorary pallbearers are James 'Red' Apple, Dylan Wilkerson, Keith Gallagher and all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
