Kenny Lee Tidwell, age 72 of Saffell died Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born December 25, 1938 at Glenwood, Arkansas to John and Amy (Long) Tidwell. He was a retired truck driver and enjoyed gardening. He was a member of the Saffell Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School Teacher for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Lewin 'Buddy' Tidwell, J. T. Tidwell, Charles Tidwell and one sister Nellie Forga.Survivors include his wife Judy (Allen) Tidwell of the home, three sons, Greg Tidwell of Glenwood, Tommy Tidwell and wife Karen of Saffell, Terry Tidwell and wife Kate of Westfork; also a son Stephen Lawson and wife Helena of Saffell and a daughter, Dawn Barkley and husband Doug of Jonesboro, two sisters, Ella McLean of Hot Springs and Mildred Scroggs and husband Walter of Little Rock, twelve grandchildren, one great grandchild and one great granddaughter expected, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Saffell Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Etheridge officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery located at Saffell with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Tuesday, September 13, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the church. Pallbearers are Jerry Dan Davis, Greg Howard, Brian Garland, Derrick Huskey, Renny Holder and David Scott Durham.
