Darrell Ray Riggs

Darrell Ray Riggs, age 77 of Cave City, formerly of Walnut Ridge died Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at a Cave City nursing home. He was born August 26, 1934 in Hoxie, Arkansas to Logan and Elizabeth Dawson Riggs. He was a retired farmer and enjoyed gardening. He was a member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Kermit Riggs, Eugene Riggs and Glenn Riggs.Survivors include two sisters, Betty Miller of Selma, Alabama and Ruth Green of Houston, Texas, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Randy Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery located east of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will be Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 12:00 noon until service time at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel.Pallbearers are Michael Riggs, Jerry Riggs, Willard Beck, Jesse Beck, Rickey Riggs and Joey Canard.Honorary pallbearers are James Riggs, Jerry Riggs Jr., Tommy Williams and Lonnie Beck.
