Mabrin William 'Billy' West age 94 of Batesville died Friday November 11, 2011 at Batesville. He was born May 29, 1917 at Cord, Arkansas to Jim and Lillie Mae Parr West. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during WWII, retired from the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department with 31 years of service and a member of the Sulphur Rock Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Oscar West and one sister, Juanita Foster.Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Muriel Winston West of the home; three daughters, Barbara Kay Shaw and husband Larry of Mount Pleasant, Glenda Nast and husband Mike of Pleasant Plains and April Conger and husband Scott of Sulphur Rock; two brothers, Thurman West and Marvin West both of Batesville; one sister, Alma Ward of Batesville; three grandchildren, Crystal Williams of Bethesda, Trent Nast of Cave City and Andy Conger of Jonesboro; three great grandchildren, Colton Williams and Hallie Williams both of Bethesda and Drayton Conger of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Tuesday November 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Bro. Michael Conyers officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery located at Cord with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Monday November 14, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Mike Nast, Scott Conger, Larry Shaw, Andy Conger, Trent Nast, Mark Williams and Colton Williams.Honorary pallbearers are Don Pool, Kenny Turner, Darrell Fulbright, Larry West, Jim West, Pat Thompson and Danny Barber.Memorials may be made to the Sulphur Rock Baptist Church, 470 N.
