Jerry D. Jennings, age 68 of Fort Smith died Friday, November 18, 2011 at Fort Smith. He was born February 23, 1943 in Heber Springs, Arkansas to Lloyd and Nell Fields Jennings. He worked in sales, was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jackie Jennings.Survivors include four sons, Gary Jennings and Keith Jennings both of Fort Smith, Ricky Jennings of Newark and Terry Jennings of Charlotte, two sisters, Robbie Allwhite of Greenwood and Sue Melton of Fort Smith, nine grandchildren, David Jennings, Nathan Jennings, Sara Jennings, Rachel Jennings and Kendrick Oliver all of Fort Smith, Josh Jennings and Rick Jennings both of Newark, Destiny Bruce and Leslie Jennings both of Charlotte, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Graveside services will begin Monday, November 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Union Cemetery located at Saffell with Bro. Kevin Cooper officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.Visitation will be Sunday, November 20, 2011 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Gary Jennings, Keith Jennings, Nathan Jennings, David Jennings, Jerry Reynolds and Brian Ring.Honorary pallbearers are Terry Jennings and Ricky Jennings.
